Presidents of the United States of America, Weezer, Linkin Park, Meat Loaf, Pink Floyd…
So, I’ll admit I was first introduced to the Presidents of the USA and Weezer a few years ago, and although I liked their music, I just never seemed to be „ready„ to actually add them to my playlists. But now that I have, there’s no way back. ;)

Meat Loaf and Pink Floyd I was never that fond of, only a song or two by each that I ever liked. Now, my collection sports two Meat Loaf albums and five of Pink Floyd’s. How weird is that?
Linkin Park I first heard of few months ago, and I reckon they’re quite all right.

The greatest surprise, however, must be the addition of some Slipknot, Korn and Marilyn Manson songs. I had ‘nough of Slipknot’s screaming and instrument abuse some years ago, but two good friends of mine were avid fans. Korn I never liked, either, simply because rap’s never provided me with any pleasure whatsoever. I did find their song „Twist„ to be rather amusing, however. Now that I’ve heard two Slipknot songs where they actually sing and play, instead of beating each other up with their drumsticks and guitars (resulting in the rather painful screams), my opinion of them has changed dramatically. ‘Course there’ll always be some foul apples, but hey!

As for Marilyn Manson, I never thought very high of him. In fact, I reckon I’ve always been slightly prejudiced, for some unknown reason. It wasn’t until I heard the song „Personal Jesus„ and the simple, yet catchy guitar tune that I decided to try out some more. Definitely not one of my favourite artists, but some of his work is marvellous and adds to the variety of my already mind-bogglingly weird playlist.

Some other recent additions I could mention are Everclear, Dragonforce, Cradle of Filth, Goldfinger, Decapitation, Detonation, Corrosion of Conformity and Counting Crows. Oh, I almost forgot Irish Rovers! ^_^
